Pink lab-grown diamonds are typically classified as Type IIa, the purest category of diamond — a designation earned by only around 1 to 2 percent of all mined diamonds. Type IIa stones contain little to no nitrogen impurities, which allows for superior light transmission, resulting in exceptional brilliance and fire.
